This song always gets me with the same reaction: Why is it not longer? Why did he not finish it? Before I know it, I start making up stuff and the song becomes quite epic in my mind.
Leaving some stuff blank, to be filled in by the imagination of people within a context set up by you, is more powerfull than spelling it out and trying to fight through indifference with blandness. The magic can only start if we finish our trick at some point and let the consumer take over.
