An Account Planner called Bruce Lee

September 2nd, 2009 · No Comments

If Ted Kennedy teaches us to keep our eyes on the big picture, and make sure that the work, works, Bruce Lee teaches us (amongst other things) that we need balance to be able to totaly and honestly express our (clients) truth.

Natural instinct (creativity) on one end of the spectrum of acting and control (research and insight) being the opposite side of that.

Joining the two together gives you what you want. Using only natural instinct will leave your performance unscientific…and having too much control over yourself and your actions will make you more robotic.

That is what he as a sifu is there to teach his students and we as planners are here for to help our creative, clients and customers discover. The honestly expressed/expressible truth.

Sounds easy, yet seeing the stuff that passes for insight and creative these days, we know that a)finding a truth and b) expressing this honestly and genuinly is as common as an Asian global moviestar in the 1960’s.

Enjoy.
